Invenio have delivered the Armidale Class Patrol Boat 3D Interactive Walkthrough to Navy Engineering Division. Contracted to develop and deliver a technology demonstration that allows engineering 3D CAD data to be used to develop a training platform, Invenio and the Navy Engineering Division collaborated on the project that produced the stunning results seen in the video below.
Utilising Dassault Systemes technology, Invenio worked directly with the detailed 3D CAD model produced by Navy Engineering Division using Dassault’s well-known CATIA 3D modelling product. All model geometry, materials and textures were developed in CATIA, before the outputs were read directly into Dassault’s 3DVIA Studio (a triple-A rated game engine). Because of the integration between Dassault products, geometry, material and texture updates were seamlessly propagated to the 3D interactive content via a live link.

To say we had a successful week at Pacific 2012 would be an understatement.
Our stand location was awesome which gave us great visibility amongst the moving crowd and as a result, we were busy all week – many thanks to the Victorian Pavilion!
We had many discussions with key players in Defence and it was great to see our REFINE concept was so well receieved by the Navy community.
We delivered a detailed presentation on our REFINE workflow at the Simulation Australia stand which was also very well received.
We had a very busy and fruitful week, managed to catch up with some old freinds and even let our hair down.
We are already looking forward to the next Pacific in October 2013 to coincide with the anniversay of the arrival of the first fleet.
